Where myBillBook is the better choice
myBillBook, from FloBiz, did something that sounds modest and is not: it made GST billing simple enough that someone who has never used software can produce a correct invoice on their first attempt. As of mid-2026 their site describes GST and non-GST invoices, e-invoicing and e-way bills, credit and debit notes, automated payment reminders over messaging, inventory tracking, a broad set of business and GSTR reports, staff attendance and payroll, export to Tally, several Indian languages, sync between their mobile and desktop apps, and round-the-clock call and chat support. Low learning curve paired with reachable human support is an underrated combination — plenty of otherwise capable software fails on exactly that.
myBillBook is the better choice when straightforward mobile billing is the whole requirement: a service business, a trader or a consultant raising invoices as they go, where chasing payment matters more than counter throughput and being able to phone someone in your own language matters more than either.

Who should look at RetailDek instead
Shops that bill from a counter with a scanner. When throughput at the till is the constraint — a queue at the counter, a barcode on every item, a cash drawer to reconcile — a POS screen built for a keyboard and scanner beats a phone-shaped billing flow.
Businesses with staff on the till. The free account allows up to 3 users for 30 days, and the annual plans cover 3, 6 and 10. Role-based staff access is on every plan, so a biller can bill without seeing purchase costs or margins, with an audit trail of who changed what.
Anyone holding stock in more than one place. Multi-godown control, included on every plan, keeps a back store, a warehouse or a second outlet as separate stock positions instead of one merged number.
If none of those describe you — if you raise a handful of invoices a week from your phone and chase payment on WhatsApp — myBillBook is likely the better-fitting tool, and switching would be effort without reward.
What migrating actually looks like
Pull two exports from your current tool: items and parties. For items you want name, unit, HSN or SAC, GST rate and selling price; for parties, name, GSTIN, state and contact details. Import those as your opening masters. Correct HSN codes and GST rates at this stage are what make every later invoice, tax summary and GSTR-1 export line up without manual fixing.
Give yourself a short overlap rather than a hard switch. Run both tools side by side for three or four days, billing in RetailDek while the old app stays available, and compare the day totals each evening. If the two agree, your masters imported correctly; if they do not, you will find out in a week when it is trivial to fix rather than at quarter-end when it is not.
Once the totals line up, set your opening stock and outstanding balances and stop billing in the old tool. There is no need to bring history across — archive the invoice PDFs, keep read access for reference, and let the changeover date be the boundary.
